Jeff Paterson

Jeff Paterson

With more than two decades of experience in sports radio, Jeff Paterson is the ultimate utility man capable of filling any role at TSN 1040. From hosting shows to reporting to updates to play-by-play, the North Vancouver native has done it all.

His radio career began at CHNL in Kamloops, BC in 1993 and included five years as the play-by-play voice of the Western Hockey League's Kamloops Blazers. Jeff returned to Vancouver in 1999 and has been involved in daily coverage of the local sports scene ever since joining the Team 1040 (now TSN 1040) in the summer of 2006. With a passion for hockey, he is one of the leading providers of daily Vancouver Canucks coverage on TSN 1040 throughout the hockey season. He serves as the Canucks reporter for the station attending all practices and as an intermission and post-game analyst on every game broadcast -- home and away. He also offers insight on the hockey club through his columns on the TSN 1040 website. In addition, Jeff seamlessly slides into the host's chair on a regular basis on all of the TSN 1040 daily shows. As well, he can be heard as the host of BCHL This Week on TSN 1410. Career highlights include calling the 1995 Memorial Cup championship game, covering the 2010 Winter Olympics and following the Vancouver Canucks run to the 2011 Stanley Cup Final. He also has extensive experience covering the BC Lions and the PGA Tour. An avid golfer in the summer months, Jeff and his wife Shannon have two children Caitlin and Ryan.
