Report: Swift to play Super Bowl Halftime Show

Taylor Swift is set to be the halftime act at this year's Super Bowl, Variety reports.
The news comes a day after Apple Music was announced as the halftime show's new presenting sponsor, taking over from Pepsi.
Variety notes that the Apple announcement came at midnight with Midnights set to be the name of the 32-year-old Swift's 10th studio album scheduled for release on Oct. 21.
But later on Friday, TMZ Sports reported that Swift will not be the halftime performer.
Swift would become the sixth solo female artist to perform at halftime and the first since 2017, following in the footsteps of Diana Ross, Madonna, Beyoncé Knowles, Katy Perry and, most recently, Lady Gaga.
This past February's Halftime Show at Super Bowl LVI at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles featured performances by Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent and Anderson .Paak.
Super Bowl LVII is set for Feb. 12, 2023 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ.
