The Toronto Blue Jays had four prospects play in the 2018 Double-A Eastern League All-Star Game on Wednesday night.
Pitchers Jordan Romano and T.J. Zeuch, infielder Cavan Biggio and outfielder Jonathan Davis, all from the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, helped the Eastern Division all-star squad tie the West 4-4 in Trenton, New Jersey.
Romano started the game and struck out two batters in a clean inning. Zeuch pitched the third inning and also had a strikeout while retiring the side. Biggio recorded a single and a walk in three at-bats, and Davis was held hitless in his only plate appearance. Bo Bichette was selected to the East roster but was reportedly not in Trenton for the event.
Much-heralded Blue Jays prospects Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was also selected to the game but has been on the disabled list with a knee injury since June 7.
Former football star Tim Tebow made quite the impression in the game, slapping an opposite-field double in his first at-bat.
