HOUSTON - Texans outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney has left the game again after injuring his back against the Tennessee Titans.

Clowney was slow to get up after assisting on a tackle on Antonio Andrews with six minutes to play in the first quarter. He conferred with medical staff before being escorted to the locker room. He missed one defensive series before returning in the second quarter with the Texans up 10-3.

But he was soon heading to the locker room again and was not on the sideline when the Texans returned after halftime.

The top overall draft pick in 2014 has been plagued by injuries in his short career. Clowney played just four games last season because of various injuries before having season-ending microfracture surgery on his right knee. He missed one game this season with an ankle injury.

Houston safety Kurtis Drummond suffered a concussion when he forced a fumble on a kickoff return in the second quarter.

Titans receiver Kendall Wright injured his right knee on a hard hit by Kevin Johnson midway through the third quarter and his return was questionable.
