KISSIMMEE, Fla. - Detroit Tigers centre fielder Cameron Maybin is expected to miss four to six weeks because of a broken left wrist.

Manager Brad Ausmus announced the news Thursday, a day after Maybin was hit by a pitch in a spring training game.

Another X-ray will be taken in two weeks, Ausmus said.

The 28-year-old Maybin was reacquired by the Tigers from the Atlanta Braves in a November trade for pitchers Ian Krol and Gabe Speier. After being drafted by the Tigers in 2005, he has played most of his major league career with the Marlins, San Diego and Atlanta.

Maybin hit .267 with 10 home runs, 59 RBIs and 23 stolen bases in 141 games with the Braves last season.
