NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Tennessee Titans have placed right tackle Michael Oher on injured reserve with a sore toe on his left foot that kept him out of the past two games.

Tennessee announced the move Saturday bringing the number of Titans on injured reserve to 12 this season, including eight starters.

Oher signed a four-year, $20 million contract in March with the Titans, bringing him back to his home state. He started the first 11 games this season before he said he heard a pop in warmups at Houston on Nov. 30. He got a second doctor's opinion on Tuesday, the same day the Titans signed offensive tackle Jamon Meredith.

The Titans also promoted defensive back Khalid Wooten to the roster.

Tennessee (2-11) hosts the Jets (2-11) on Sunday.
