The Arizona Coyotes have signed forward Antoine Vermette to a two-year, $7.5 million contract, according to TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie.

The 32-year-old from Saint-Agapit, Quebec helped the Chicago Blackhawks win their third Stanley Cup in six seasons in 2014-15 after he was moved a few days before the Trade Deadline by the Coyotes.

He netted 13 goals and added 22 assists over 63 games in the desert before going goalless in 19 regular season games with the ‘Hawks. Vermette scored four goals and had three helpers over 20 games in the postseason, including game-winning goals in Games 1 and 5 of the Stanley Cup final against the Tampa Bay Lightning as well as Game 4 of the Western Conference final against the Anaheim Ducks.

Vermette was selected in the second round, 55th overall, of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft by the Ottawa Senators. He played five seasons with the Sens before stints with the Columbus Blue Jackets, Coyotes and finally Blackhawks.

He has 194 goals and 239 assists for 433 points over 834 career games in the NHL.
