New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Washington Nationals outfielder Jayson Werth was named National League Player of the Week for the third time in his career on Monday.

Werth paced the Senior Circuit with nine RBI last week and batted .450 with two home runs and five doubles.

He also won the award while with the Philadelphia Phillies for the weeks of Aug. 17-23, 2009 and May 3-9, 2010.
