SASKATOON - Oliver Bjorkstrand was the story on Saturday night.

Bjorkstrand scored three times in the third period to record the hat trick as the Portland Winterhawks cruised by the Saskatoon Blades 6-1 in Western Hockey League play.

Anton Cederholm, Chase De Leo and Miles Koules all chipped in for the Winterhawks (5-9-2).

Adam Henry had a power-play goal halfway through the second period for the Blades (4-9-0).

Bolton Pouliot turned away 24 shots to record the win as Saskatoon's Alex Moodie made 34 saves in a losing effort.

Portland scored twice on four power-play attempts while the Blades were 1 for 4.

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. — Taylor Cooper had a first-period goal and added an assist for Lethbridge as it got by the Raiders.

Dexter Bricker and Andrew Nielsen added goals for the Hurricanes (4-8-1), who won their third-straight game.

Jayden Hart scored at 19:20 of the third period for Prince Albert (5-8-0) to spoil the shutout.

RED DEER, Alta. — Conner Bleackley scored his third of the season and added two assists as the Rebels cruised past Moose Jaw.

Evan Polei, Wyatt Johnson, Meyer Nell and Scott Feser rounded out the attack for Red Deer (5-7-1).

Kolten Olynek chipped in with a short-handed goal for the Warriors (6-6-1).

EDMONTON — Luke Bertolucci struck twice, 27 seconds apart, as the Oil Kings beat Prince George.

Edgars Kulda, Mitchell Walter and Dysin Mayo supplied the remainder of the Edmonton (8-3-1) offence.

Jari Erricson opened the scoring with his 10th of the year for the Cougars (7-8-0).

REGINA — Brett Lernout had the go-ahead goal halfway through the third period as Swift Current slipped past the Pats.

Jake DeBrusk also scored for the Broncos (9-7-1) on the power play.

MEDICINE HAT, Alta. — Markus Eisenschmid scored a pair for the Tigers as they got past Calgary.

Ty Stanton, Matt Bradley, David Quenneville, Cole Sanford and Trevor Cox rounded out the offence for Medicine Hat (11-1-1).

Pavel Karnaukhov and Jake Virtanen each had two goals and an assist for the Hitmen (7-5-1). Ben Thomas also had a goal.
