RED DEER, Alta. - Madison Bowey scored the only goal in the shootout to launch the Kelowna Rockets to a 4-3 win over the Red Deer Rebels in Western Hockey League action on Tuesday.

Bowey also scored the first goal in regulation for Kelowna (37-8-3), finding the back of the net at 11:55 of the second period. Justin Kirkland and Tyson Baillie rounded out the attack as the Rockets extended their winning streak to three games.

Austin Adamson and Wyatt Johnson scored second-period goals for the Rebels (27-14-7), who have picked up points in each of their last nine outings, and Conner Bleackley tied the game at 5:29 of the third period.

Rockets goaltender Jackson Whistle stopped 24 shots through regulation and overtime and added four more saves in the shootout.

Red Deer's Rylan Toth made 36 saves over 65 minutes and stopped 3-of-4 skaters in the shootout.

Neither team scored on the power play. Kelowna was 0 for 3 while the Rebels were 0 for 5.

BRANDON, Man. — Max Lajoie scored the shootout winner to lift Swift Current over the Wheat Kings.

Carter Rigby scored on a power play and assisted on Jake DeBrusk's goal to give the Broncos (22-22-5) a 2-0 lead.

Brandon (35-9-5) snapped a six-game winning streak despite rallying to tie the game with goals from Morgan Klimchuk and Tim McGauley.

TIGERS 6 HURRICANES 3

MEDICINE HAT, Alta. — Markus Eisenschmid scored two goals and set up another as the Tigers doubled up Lethbridge for their fifth straight victory.

Tyler Lewington also found the back of the net twice for Medicine Hat (34-12-2), Trevor Cox had a goal and two assists, and Chad Butcher rounded out the attack. David Quenneville chipped in with three helpers.

Tyler Wong, Giorgio Estephan and Ryley Lindgren supplied the offence for the Hurricanes (11-29-6).
