Washington, DC - The Washington Wizards announced Tuesday that the team has exercised their club options on the rookie contracts of guard Bradley Beal and forward Otto Porter.

"Bradley and Otto are both big pieces of the core group of players that we will build around as we continue to improve our team," said Wizards president Ernie Grunfeld. "We look forward to them playing significant roles in our success both now and in the future."

Guaranteeing the fourth year of Beal's pact comes as no surprise, as the sharpshooter averaged 17.1 points and hit on 40.2 percent of his 3-point attempts last season to help the Wizards reach the Eastern Conference playoffs for the first time since 2007-08.

The third overall pick of the 2012 NBA Draft then led Washington with a 19.2 points-per-game average in 11 postseason games, highlighted by a first-round upset of Chicago.

Porter, who was taken No. 3 overall in the 2013 Draft, saw limited playing time as a rookie and averaged just 2.1 points and 1.5 rebounds in 37 games. The former Georgetown standout was named to the first team of this year's NBA Summer League, however, after putting up 19.0 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists.
