TORONTO — Make it 18 straight wins for the Toronto Wolfpack.

Gary Wheeler led way with two tries as the Wolfpack thumped the lowly Rochdale Hornets 52-10 at Lamport Stadium on Saturday.

Chase Stanley, Liam Kay, Andy Ackers, Cory Paterson, Jack Buchanan, Sam Hopkins, Adam Sidlow and Richard Whiting also scored tries as Toronto (20-1-1) nears the end of its dominant debut campaign in the second-tier Betfred Championship.

Gareth O'Brien hit six conversions despite sustaining a back injury against the Batley Bulldogs last week.

Deon Lewis Cross and Jovili Taira scored the only tries for the last-place Hornets (4-18-0), while Tyler Whittaker notched a conversion.

The Wolfpack have already wrapped up the Betfred Championship League Leaders' Shield and have only one game remaining against the Featherstone Rovers at home next weekend before the so-called qualifiers.

After the campaign is done, the bottom four teams in the Super League will each play the top four Championship clubs in the qualifiers once, with the top three finishers clinching a spot in the Super League next year. A final entry into the first-tier league will be up for grabs in a playoff between the fourth- and fifth-place teams called the "Million-Pound Game."
