Kick returner Banks scores two TDs as Ticats beat Als in East Final
Brandon Banks and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats made the Montreal Alouettes eat their words Sunday. Banks had a playoff-tying two punt return TDs to lead Hamilton back to the Grey Cup with a 40-24 East Division final win over the Montreal Alouettes. Banks had five punt returns for a playoff-record 226 yards and had another 78-yard TD return negated by a penalty.
Hansen has a hat trick as Canucks defeat Blackhawks
Jannik Hansen scored the first hat trick of his career Sunday as the Vancouver Canucks defeated the Chicago Blackawks 4-1. Radim Vrbata had the other goal for the Canucks and Ryan Miller made 24 saves to get the win as Vancouver (14-6-1) celebrated assistant captain Daniel Sedin's 1,000th NHL game with a hard-fought win.
Lundqvist, Rangers shut out surging Canadiens
Henrik Lundqvist stopped 21 shots for his fourth shutout, Martin St. Louis had a goal and assist, and the suddenly stingy New York Rangers routed the NHL-leading Montreal Canadiens 5-0 on Sunday night. Lundqvist, who followed on the heels of backup Cam Talbot's blanking of Philadelphia on Wednesday, posted his team-record 54th shutout. Dominic Moore scored his first goal, and Derek Stepan added his second in a dominant middle period for the Rangers, who had three days off due to a snow postponement in Buffalo.
Reaves scores winner in hometown as Blues top Jets
Ryan Reaves scored the game-winner in his hometown as the visiting St. Louis Blues defeated the Winnipeg Jets 4-2 on Sunday afternoon. Reaves scored 2:25 into the third period when he grabbed a loose puck near the side of Winnipeg's net, spun around and sent a low shot by goalie Ondrej Pavelec for the 3-2 lead.
Romo connects with Bryant with 61 seconds left to lift Cowboys over Giants
Tony Romo threw two touchdown passes to Dez Bryant, the winner from 13 yards with 1:01 remaining, lifting the Dallas Cowboys to a comeback 31-28 victory over the New York Giants. Romo threw for two TDs in the third quarter. But the Giants (3-8), trailing 24-21, staged a 93-yard drive capped by Adrien Robinson's first career TD catch, from 1 yard with 3 minutes left.
Report: Red Sox to sign SS Ramirez
The Boston Red Sox have reeled in their first top free agent of the off-season, just not the one that many were expecting. FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal has reported the Sox have agreed to a five-year, $90 million contract with former Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Hanley Ramirez.

Tom Brady threw for 349 yards and two touchdowns in a pass-heavy offence against the NFL's stingiest rushing defence and the New England Patriots stretched their winning streak to seven games with a 34-9 victory over the Detroit Lions on Sunday.
Wilson TD toss, Seahawks defence lead to win over Cardinals
Russell Wilson found backup tight end Cooper Helfet for a 20-yard catch-and-run touchdown late in the third quarter, Steven Hauschka kicked four field goals and the Seattle Seahawks handed the Arizona Cardinals their second loss of the season, 19-3 on Sunday. Wilson was sacked a season-high seven times by Arizona's ultra-aggressive defence and the assortment of blitzes they called to confuse and fluster the Seahawks quarterback.
Lacy's powerful running helps Packers hang on to beat Vikings
Eddie Lacy rushed for 125 yards on 25 carries, both season highs to help Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers hang on for a 24-21 victory over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. Lacy scored twice, on a run in the first quarter and a catch in the fourth.
