The Calgary Stampeders rallied in the fourth quarter for a 40-27 win over the Saskatchewan Roughriders. The Stampeders improved to 14-2 with two games to play in the regular season. The Roughriders lost their fifth in a row and fall to 9-8, but will still make the playoffs.

Iginla scores twice as Avalanche rout Canucks in Denver
Jarome Iginla collected his first two goals for Colorado and had an assist, helping the Avalanche beat the Vancouver Canucks 7-3 on Friday night. Matt Duchene had a goal and two assists and Erik Johnson had a goal and an assist for Colorado, which broke out of an offensive slump to earn its first home win of the season.
Drouin scores first NHL goal as Lightning storm past Jets
A well-rested Tampa Bay Lightning got off half as many shots at one point but made a lot more count as they beat the Winnipeg Jets 4-2 Friday night behind solid goaltending from Ben Bishop. Steven Stamkos, Jonathan Drouin, Vladislav Namestnikov and Ondrej Palat scored as the Lightning (5-2-1) took the fourth game of a five-game road trip that has seen them go 3-1-0.
Eberle scores twice as Oilers beat Hurricanes for third win in a row
Jordan Eberle had two goals and an assist as the Edmonton Oilers won their third straight game, defeating the Carolina Hurricanes 6-3 on Friday. Jesse Joensuu, Leon Draisaitl, Matt Hendricks and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins also scored for the Oilers (3-4-1), who have turned things around on their current homestand after a troubling beginning to the season.
DeRozan, Raptors edge Knicks in Montreal
DeMar DeRozan scored 15 points and Jonas Valanciunas added another 13 to give the Toronto Raptors an 83-80 victory over the New York Knicks in a tight contest in NBA pre-season action Friday night at the Bell Centre. The game was held in Montreal as part of the 2014 NBA Canada series.
Maddon opts out of contract with Rays
Joe Maddon won't be returning to the Tampa Bay Rays. The Rays announced Friday that Maddon has exercised an opt-out in his contract, which was due to expire after next season.
Chara out 4-6 weeks with knee injury; surgery unlikely
Boston Bruins captain Zdeno Chara will will four to six weeks with a posterior cruciate ligament tear in his left knee. Chara suffered the tear in a collision with New York Islanders captain John Tavares midway through the first period on Thursday night, he then played one more shift that ended with 8:04 remaining in the period. There was no outward indication of an injury at that time.
Colts WR Wayne to sit out game vs. Steelers, RB Richardson questionable
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne will not play in the team's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday because of an elbow injury. Wayne was initially listed as day-to-day before being ruled out Friday by coach Chuck Pagano.
