Leafs and Reimer reach two-year deal and avoid arbitration
The Toronto Maple Leafs have agreed to a two-year contract with goaltender James Reimer, avoiding salary arbitration. Reimer's agent Ray Petkau tweeted the signing on Friday, while TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger reports that the deal has an average annual value of $2.3 million. Canada's Graham DeLaet matched a course record in the second round of the RBC Canadian Open on Friday with a 7-under 63 at Royal Montreal. The Weyburn, Saskatchewan native is just two shots behind leaders Tim Petrovic and Jim Furyk who are 10-under for the tournament. Furyk also tied a course record with a 63 in the second round.
