Dodgers extend Muncy through 2027

The World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers announced a contract extension for Max Muncy on Thursday.

The extension for the versatile infielder is for an additional season at $7 million and a $10 million club option for 2028 that comes with a $3 million buyout.

Muncy, 35, is headed into his 11th big league season and ninth with the Dodgers. He appeared in 100 games in 2025, batting .243 with 76 hits, 19 home runs, 67 runs batted in and an OPS of .846. He had six hits and two solo home runs in the team’s seven-game World Series win over the Toronto Blue Jays.

For his career, the Midland, TX native has appeared in 1,020 games for the Dodgers and Oakland Athletics, batting .229 with 755 hits, 214 home runs, 604 runs batted in and an OPS of .828.

A two-time All-Star, the Baylor product has won three World Series titles with the Dodgers.
