The Colorado Avalanche have signed defenceman Cale Makar to the largest contract in NHL history. The new deal is for eight years and $163.2 million and carries an annual cap hit of $20.4 million.


Andersen, Janmark, Savoie and Regula to miss Oilers training camp

Edmonton Oilers training camp will get underway next month, but four players will remain absent. The team announced Wednesday that goaltender Frederik Andersen, forwards Mattias Janmark and Matt Savoie and defenceman Alec Regula will not participate.
