LONG POND, Pa. — Canadian Robert Wickens is being treated for injuries to his lower extremities, right arm and spine following an accident early in a race at Pocono

IndyCar said the Canadian sustained a pulmonary contusion Sunday and is resting at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest in Allentown.

Former driver Paul Tracy said Sunday night Wickens suffered two broken ankles, a broken arm and a possible fractured vertebrae. He added Wickens would undergo surgery Monday.

Update on @robertwickens he is ok after this terrible wreck , 2 broken ankles , arm , possible fracture vertebrae . The car held up amazingly well . And he is awake and expecting surgery tommorow morn . Get back soon my brother !!!
