Egor Korshkov, who signed an entry-level contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday, will make his North American hockey debut on Friday with the AHL's Toronto Marlies in Game 2 of their second-round series.

Korshkov, selected by the Maple Leafs in the second round - 31st overall - of the 2016 NHL Draft, joined the Marlies earlier this week on a professional try-out.

The Marlies took Game 1 against the Cleveland Monsters 4-0, and Game 2 will take place at 7pm et/4pm pt. on TSN2.  

The 22-year-old Korshkov spent this past season with Lokomotiv Yaroslavl of the KHL, posting three goals and five points in 19 games. In nine playoff games, he added three assists.

Over the past five seasons in the KHL, Korshkov has posted 24 goals and 41 assists in 172 games with Lokomotiv. 

Korshkov represented Russia at the 2016 world juniors, posting two goals and eight points in seven games as the team captured a silver medal.
