Maxwell, Seahawks celebrate
, The Canadian Press
Maxwell didn't get a lot of attention playing opposite Richard Sherman in Seattle the past four years, but his time in the spotlight will come soon. The 27-year-old has quietly been a very good complement to Sherman on a strong Seahawks defence.
Antonio Cromartie
Age: 30
Cromartie is getting up there in age for a cornerback (30), but is still one of the best cover men in the league. He likely won't receive elite CB money, but could play near that level for a couple more seasons.
Brandon Flowers
Re-signed with Chargers (four years, $36 million)
Flowers was a bit of a surprise cut by the Chiefs a year ago and after a decent season with the Chargers, could be looking for a longer stay with a team. At 29, he should still have a few strong seasons ahead of him.
Williams' age could hold his demand back a little, but the 31-year-old has missed just one game in his eight years with the Packers. His statistics have been steady and solid the whole time as well.
Kareem Jackson
Re-signed with Texans (four years, $34 million)
Jackson is slightly younger than most of the big names available at cornerback and should have plenty left to offer after five solid seasons with the Texans.
A former fifth-round selection, Skrine hits free agency after just four years of service. He's coming off a career year that included four interceptions.
Culliver returned from missing all of 2013 with a torn ACL to play well in 2014. His four interceptions and 15 pass defences were both career highs, proving he didn't lose a step to surgery.
