Strong goaltending has played a part in St. Louis' strong start to the season, and they're doing it with Brian Elliott and Jake Allen, a bargain tandem.
Among teams moving up this week, the New York Islanders have won eight of nine and climb from 12 to seven, while the Dallas Stars, after a blueline shake-up, move from 26 to 21.
As for Canadian clubs, the Montreal Canadiens, Calgary Flames and Vancouver Canucks hold spots 10 through 12, while the Toronto Maple Leafs are up from 18 to 15, a couple of spots ahead of the Winnipeg Jets, at 17.
The Ottawa Senators are at 23, while the Edmonton Oilers have sunk to 29 after six straight losses.
