DRUMMONDVILLE, Que. — Joel Teasdale scored the go-ahead goal at 14:24 of the third period as the Rouyn-Naranda Huskies edged the Drummondville Voltigeurs 3-2 on Friday in a matchup of two of the top teams in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
Peter Abbandonato and Jakub Lauko also scored for the lead-leading Huskies (40-7-1), who earned their 10th win in a row.
Joseph Veleno and Maxime Comtois found the back of the net for the Voltigeurs (35-10-1), who are second in the league standings alongside Baie-Comeau with 71 points.
Samuel Harvey made 23 saves for Rouyn-Noranda as Olivier Rodrigue turned aside 25 shots for Drummondville, which had its five-game win streak halted.
The Huskies went 1 for 2 on the power play while the Voltigeurs score on both of their chances with the man advantage.
