SAINT JOHN, N.B. - One day after being shutout 7-0, the Saint John Sea Dogs had a scoring explosion of their own on Saturday night.
The Sea Dogs, paced by Nathan Noel's two goals and two assists, beat the Moncton Wildcats 7-1 in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
Adam Marsh, Spencer Smallman, Mathieu Joseph, Mitchel Dempsey and Luke Green supplied the remainder of the Saint John (8-3-2) offence.
Vladimir Tkachev scored the lone goal for the Wildcats (8-5-0) on the power play at 14:39 of the first period.
Sebastien Auger stopped 27 shots in a winning effort while Alex Dubeau made 25 saves in defeat.
The Sea Dogs were 3 for 6 on the power play while Moncton found the back of the net once on two chances.
The win gives Saint John a two point lead in the Maritimes Division over the Wildcats.
