Oakland Raiders star pass rusher Khalil Mack is not in attendance at new head coach Jon Gruden's first off-season workout with the team as he looks for a new contract, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported.

Mack is currently slated to play next season on the fifth-year option of his rookie contract. The Raiders have reportedly begun contract negotiations with Mack's agent, but no deal has been agreed to.

The 27-year-old hasn't missed a game for the Raiders in his four years and was named Defensive Player of the Year in 2016. Last year Mack finished with 61 tackles and 10.5 sacks. For his career, the two-time All Pro has 231 tackles and 40.5 sacks.
