The New York Rangers have taken over top spot in the TSN.ca NHL Power Rankings, passing the Montreal Canadiens, who drop to second spot.

Among teams climbing this week, the Nashville Predators move from seven to three, after two seven-goal games last week, and the Chicago Blackhawks move from 13 to eight with star defenceman Duncan Keith returning to the lineup.
Also moving up, the Florida Panthers, Arizona Coyotes and Colorado Avalanche.
Heading down, Winnipeg Jets crash from 12 to 21, Ottawa Senators slide from 17 to 22 and Edmonton Oilers fall from 22 to 26.
As for the other Canadian teams, the Vancouver Canucks hang at 16, the Toronto Maple Leafs are making a bit of progress, and climb from 29 to 25, and the Calgary Flames fall to 30th due to their goaltending woes.
