The Arizona Diamondbacks have an agreement with relief pitcher Greg Holland on a one-year contract, according to a report from The Athletic's Robert Murray and Ken Rosenthal.

Holland spent last season split between the St. Louis Cardinals and Washington Nationals, finishing with a 4.66 earned run average and three saves in 46.1 innings over 56 appearances. The 33-year-old was much better after his move to the Nationals last season, where he had a 0.84 ERA in 21.1 innings.

Prior to last season Holland was one of the premier closers in the Majors for three seasons with the Kansas City Royals and one with the Colorado Rockies. Holland is a three-time MLB All-Star with 189 career saves and helped the Royals win the World Series in 2015.
