CALGARY - The Calgary Stampeders have re-signed international defensive lineman Micah Johnson.

The six-foot-two, 276-pound native of Columbus, Ga., appeared in six games in 2014, recording 19 tackles and three sacks. He suffered a season-ending knee injury during a Week 7 game in Hamilton.

Johnson originally signed with the Stampeders in May of 2013, and has played a total of 18 games for Calgary over the past two seasons

"Micah has been a very impressive player when he has been on the field for us," Calgary coach and general manager John Hufnagel said in a statement. "He's had some misfortune in regards to injuries over the past two seasons but I know he's been working hard to return to action and I look forward to seeing him play a full season."
