Rourke and Butler lead Lions to first win of the season

Set to head back to BC Place in Vancouver, the Lions finally got their first win of the season in Kelowna. The CFL on TSN panel have more on what the Lions did to hold on against the Elks, and break down the impressive play of both Nathan Rourke and James Butler.


CFL: Roughriders 27, Redblacks 22

The winless Redblacks did a lot of things right, but it still wasn’t enough as they fell to the defending Grey Cup champion Roughriders. Trevor Harris to 243 yards passing with two touchdowns as Saskatchewan improved to 3-1 while sending Ottawa to 0-4.

When the Redblacks host the Roughriders tonight, there will be plenty of familiar faces on the opposing sideline. But a reunion is not the focus as Ottawa looks to turn around its slow start with a win over the defending Grey Cup champions. The CFL on TSN panel tees up the action.


CFL: Argonauts 36, Stampeders 58

Vernon Adams Jr. carved up the Argos defence for 405 passing yards and a franchise record-tying six passing touchdowns as the Stampeders put up 58 points in their second straight victory. Jalen Philpot and Dejon Brissett each caught a pair of touchdowns from Adams Jr., who also had a 22-yard rushing TD.
