Denton Mateychuk, Dylan Cozens and Emmitt Finnie all found the back of the net as Canada got goals in each period to take down Slovenia and remain undefeated at the men's World Hockey Championship. Jet Greaves had his shutout bid broken with 1:05 remaining in regulation.

Ville Heinola scored twice and Henri Jokiharju had a goal and an assist as Finland pushed its record to a perfect 5-0 at the men's World Hockey Championship with a comfortable victory over newly promoted Great Britain.


WHC: Italy 0, Sweden 3

Projected top five pick Ivar Stenberg scored twice and fellow 18-year-old Viggo Bjorck had a pair of assists as Sweden shutout Italy for a much-needed win. The Swedish teen sensations have 10 points (three goals, seven assists)s at the men's World Hockey Championship.

Finnie's first international goal helps Canada beat Slovenia, remain unbeaten

Defenceman Leon Gawanke scored a hat trick and Marc Michaelis picked up three assists as Germany rolled to a rout of Hungary for their first win at the 2026 World Hockey Championship.

Norway held the lead with under two minutes to go but Ryan O'Reilly would score the game-tying goal to send the game to overtime, where Mark Scheifele capped his hat trick with the quick OT-winner.


WHC: Great Britain 1, Switzerland 4

Nino Niederreiter scored a pair of goals and Nico Hischier had a goal and an assist as Switzerland dominated Great Britain to improve to a perfect 5-0 at the World Hockey Championship.


WHC: Slovakia 5, Denmark 1

Oliver Okuliar scored and added a pair of helpers and Martin Chromiak had a goal and an assist as Slovakia easily beat Denmark to move into second place in Group B.
