Jordan Lawlar left the yard with his third home run of the season to open the scoring for Arizona in the sixth and Ryan Waldschmidt cashed another run in with a sacrifice fly in the eighth.

Pinch-hitter Ha-Seong Kim singled home Lane Thomas with two outs in the ninth inning, lifting the Braves to a win over the Dodgers in a back-and-forth matchup of NL division leaders.

New York won for the 11th time in 17 games and remained 3 1/2 games behind first-place Tampa Bay in the AL East and 2 1/2 ahead of Boston for the AL's top wild card.

The Phillies blanked the Mariners on Wednesday afternoon in Seattle. Jesus Luzardo notched his 12th win of the season, allowing only a single hit while striking out nine. Bryce Harper swatted his 26th long ball of the season and Kyle Schwarber hit his 16th.

The Guardians rallied late to come back against the Angels on Wednesday. Nathaniel Lowe singled in Jo Adell to bring Cleveland to within one and RBIs from Nick Kwan and Travis Bazzana in the ninth gave the Guardians their first lead of the contest. Erik Sabrowski shut the door in the bottom half to secure his first save of the season.
