MLB: Blue Jays 3, Yankees 8

Ben Rice hit a bases-loaded single to score two runs and cap a three-run sixth inning, Jazz Chisholm Jr. added a two-run homer in the seventh and Trent Grisham went deep in the eighth as the Yankees pulled away for a win over the Blue Jays on Sunday. Toronto starter José Soriano allowed five runs and seven hits in five-plus innings.


MLB: Guardians 7, Rockies 2

Chase DeLauter had two triples and drove in two runs, Jo Adell had two RBI and the Guardians rolled past the Rockies on Sunday to finish a sweep of their three-game series. The win was the fourth in a row and sixth in the past eight games for Cleveland, which remain tied with the Rangers for the third wild-card spot in the AL.


MLB: Angels 3, Rangers 5

Ezequiel Durán and Elias Díaz hit solo homers, Cal Quantrill worked six scoreless innings and the Rangers beat the Angels on Sunday. The Canadian starter allowed six hits, didn't allow a walk and struck out six for Texas, which moved into a tie with the Astros for first place in the AL West with records of 65-66.


MLB: Reds 11, Diamondbacks 5

JJ Bleday hit for the cycle in his first four at-bats, Elly De La Cruz also had four hits and the Cincinnati Reds routed the Arizona Diamondbacks 11-5 on Saturday night.


MLB: Cubs 4, Mariners 5

Randy Arozarena robbed the Cubs of a home run, and hit a walk-off, two-run home run of his own as the Seattle Mariners beat the Chicago Cubs 5-4 on Saturday night.


MLB: Rays 2, Orioles 3 (10)

Dylan Beavers led off the 10th inning with a pinch double to right-center to score automatic runner Leody Taveras from second and give the Baltimore Orioles a 3-2 victory over the AL East-leading Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday night.

Dylan Cease carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning and Nathan Lukes' homer in the eighth inning was the difference as the Toronto Blue Jays beat the New York Yankees 4-3 on Saturday.


MLB: Angels 3, Rangers 0

Rookie Ryan Johnson carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning for second time this season and three Los Angeles Angels pitchers combined for a one-hitter in a 3-0 win over the Texas Rangers on Saturday night.


MLB: Twins 5, Padres 7

Jake Cronenworth raced home with the tying run on an error and Ty France singled in the go-ahead run during a four-run rally in the seventh inning that gave the San Diego Padres a 7-5 win against the Minnesota Twins on Saturday night.


MLB: Pirates 3, Dodgers 4

Tarik Skubal struck out 11 to earn his first win as a Dodger, Kyle Tucker singled in the tying and go-ahead runs in the fifth inning, and Los Angeles rallied to beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 4-3 on Saturday night.


MLB: Blue Jays 1, Yankees 3

Rookie Spencer Jones hit a towering two-run homer in the second inning that was upheld on replay, and the New York Yankees beat the Toronto Blue Jays 3-1 on Friday night for their fifth straight victory. Alejandro Kirk had an RBI single in the fifth that extended his hitting streak to 10 games.

Willson Contreras hit a three-run home run and the Boston Red Sox held off the San Francisco Giants 6-4 on Friday night in the return of Rafael Devers to Fenway Park.


Fluharty to start as Blue Jays open series vs. Yankees in the Bronx

Mason Fluharty will get the start as the Toronto Blue Jays look to open their final series of the season against the rival New York Yankees with a win on Friday. It will mark a fourth start of the season for Fluharty, who has appeared in 64 games out of the bullpen.


MLB: Braves 1, Brewers 2

William Contreras had four hits and an RBI and Andrew Vaughn singled in the Brewers second run as Milwaukee did all their damage in the third inning. Jacob Misiorowski went six innings strong, allowing no runs on four hits and striking out six.

Jacob deGrom struck out 10 and allowed one hit and one walk in six innings while reaching 2,000 career strikeouts in the second-fewest games and innings in major league history as the Rangers beat the Nationals 2-0 on Thursday night.


MLB: Yankees 6, Orioles 1

Gerrit Cole pitched six sharp innings, Luis García Jr. and Spencer Jones homered and the Yankees completed a three-game sweep in Baltimore with a 6-1 victory over the Orioles on Thursday night.


MLB: Blue Jays 5, Rays 1

Kazuma Okamoto, Nathan Lukes and Daz Cameron homered, George Springer drove in two runs and Shane Bieber pitched seven strong innings as the Blue Jays beat the Rays on Thursday. Bieber allowed four hits, walked none and struck out seven for Toronto, which now has seven consecutive series wins.
