Jackson Chourio and William Contreras homered in the first inning and the Milwaukee Brewers stayed ahead the rest of the way to defeat the Texas Rangers 5-3 on Saturday night. The Rangers remained two games behind AL West leader Houston, which lost 6-2 to the New York Mets earlier Saturday. Brandon Nimmo hit a two-run homer and Cody Freeman added a solo shot for Texas.
MLB: Red Sox 6, Yankees 0 (GM 1)
Ceddanne Rafaela recovered from misjudging a fly ball to center field in the fourth inning to get a runner at the plate a day after making two outs on the bases, and he hit an RBI single in a four-run ninth as the Red Sox beat the Yankees 6-0 in the opener of a doubleheader on Saturday.

After dropping the first game of the double header, the Yankees downed the Red Sox 9-2 on Saturday night. Ben Rice drove in three on a pair of hits and Luis Garcia Jr. had three hits and an RBI. Seven Yankee pitchers held the Sox to only a pair of runs on six hits to take Game 3 of their homestand.

Josh Rojas had his second career game with four RBI, Salvador Perez hit two doubles and the Kansas City Royals defeated the Cleveland Guardians 8-3 on Saturday for their 12th win in 13 games.

Alejandro Kirk drove in the tiebreaking run with a two-out single in the sixth inning and the Blue Jays beat the Mariners 4-3 on Saturday. José Soriano struck out six in seven innings to win for the second time in three starts. Soriano allowed three runs and three hits.
