MLB: Cubs 4, Cardinals 2 (10)

Alex Bregman drove in the go-ahead run with a 10th-inning double and the Cubs went on to a 4-2 win over the Cardinals on Thursday. Bregman went 9 for 18 as the Cubs took three games in the four-game series, with six doubles, a home run and three RBI.

MLB: Rangers 2, Rays 3

Cedric Mullins hit a go-ahead home run in the eighth inning, Jonny DeLuca also went deep and seven pitchers combined on a two-hitter for the Rays in a 3-2 victory over the Rangers on Thursday. Tampa Bay starter Shane McClanahan allowed the first two batters to reach in the fourth before getting pulled from the game because of back tightness.


MLB: Yankees 1, White Sox 2 (11)

Pitching staffs for both teams pitched complete game shutouts, and with the game still tied into the 11th, it was pinch hitter Tristan Peters who drew the walk-off walk that ended the game.


MLB: Braves 1, Mets 0 (GM 2)

Chris Sale struck out nine and limited New York to two hits in six innings and the Atlanta Braves beat the Mets 1-0 on Wednesday to split a day/night doubleheader. Matt Olson had an RBI single in the sixth in the Braves' first 1-0 victory over the Mets since a seven-inning win in the second game of a doubleheader June 21, 2021.


MLB: Cubs 2, Cardinals 3 (10)

Pete Crow-Armstrong hit a two-run homer, his 24th of the season off Luis Gastelum in the top of the 10th to put Chicago ahead 2-1. Ivan Herrera had a two-run double with one out in the 10th inning to give the St. Louis Cardinals a 3-2 comeback victory over the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday night.


MLB: Yankees 5, White Sox 6 (12)

After only mustering two hits through seven innings, the White Sox tied the game with back-to-back homeruns by Sam Antonacci and Munetaka Murakami in the eighth. After trading runs in the 11th inning, Edgar Quero knocked in the winning run in the 12th with a single to center to walk off the Yankees.


MLB: Blue Jays 5, Nationals 2

Kazuma Okamoto drove in a pair of runs in the eighth inning and finished with three hits, Trey Yesavage allowed just one earned run on three hits and struck out four in over six innings of work as the Blue Jays took the series from the Nationals.


MLB: Brewers 3, Giants 16

Daniel Susac hit two homeruns, and Heliot Ramos went 4-for-5 with three RBI as the Giants routed the Brewers to win the three-game set.


MLB: Braves 2, Mets 3 (GM 1)

Carson Benge hit a tie-breaking RBI double in the seventh inning Wednesday, lifting the Mets to a 3-2 victory over the Braves in the opener of a doubleheader.

MLB: Orioles 10, Tigers 9 (12)

Baltimore scored twice in the 11th, but Detroit's Spencer Torkelson answered with a two-run homer. Colton Cowser hit a tiebreaking single in the 12th inning, capping the Baltimore Orioles' rally from a seven-run deficit to beat the Tigers 10-9 on Wednesday and spoil Tarik Skubal's possible farewell to Detroit.


MLB: Mariners 7, Dodgers 6

Seattle hit five homeruns, including two from Dominic Canzone as the Mariners won for only the second time in seven games. Shohei Ohtani went 3-for-4 with a homer in the loss.


MLB: Astros 3, Angels 2

Yordan Alvarez homered and hit a go-ahead RBI single with two outs in the ninth inning to lift the Astros to a win over the Angels. Houston won for the seventh time in eight games to remain two games behind Texas in the American League West.


MLB: Red Sox 3, Athletics 4

Tommy White went 4-for-4 and scored twice for the A's, Brian Serven hit his first major league home run in almost four years, and Gage Jump pitched six scoreless innings as the Athletics cooled off the Red Sox with a victory.


MLB: Yankees 3, White Sox 2

Anthony Volpe hit an RBI double in the second and scored on Max Schuemann's two-run double and Gerrit Cole pitched six shutout innings of four-hit ball as the Yankees beat the White Sox for their fifth victory in six games.


MLB: Blue Jays 6, Nationals 8

The Nationals drew six walks against former Cy Young Award winner Shane Bieber in a four-run first inning as Washington beat the Toronto. Kazuma Okamoto hit his 24th homer to tie a franchise rookie record for the Blue Jays, who have lost 10 of 14 and slipped 10 games under .500, while Vladimir Guerrero Jr. left in the fourth inning due to right hamstring tightness.
