Teoscar Hernández hit a go-ahead grand slam off reliever Adrian Morejon in the seventh inning as the Dodgers rallied for the second straight game to beat the Padres.

Andrés Giménez hit an RBI double and scored to support Dylan Cease, who struck out nine in seven sharp innings as the Blue Jays won for the third time in last four games.


MLB: Mets 3, Blue Jays 9

Sean Keys hit his first career home run, Myles Straw added a pinch-hit shot, and the Blue Jays beat the Mets in a Canada Day matinee Wednesday. Kazuma Okamoto, Ernie Clement and Daulton Varsho had RBI hits as Toronto took two of three games from New York in the series.


MLB: Tigers 6, Yankees 2 (11)

The Yankees’ losing streak stretched to seven, their longest in three years, as Camilo Doval forced in the go-ahead run with a bases-loaded walk to Spencer Torkelson in a four-run 11th inning that gave the Tigers a victory Wednesday. New York is on its longest losing streak since a nine-game skid from Aug. 12-22, 2023.


MLB: Mets 3, Blue Jays 0

Nolan McLean and three relievers combined on a six-hitter, Francisco Alvarez and Luis Torrens both hit solo home runs and the Mets beat the Blue Jays on Tuesday night. Toronto was shutout for the fourth time this season and has lost seven of eight.
