Blue Jays deal Gausman to Cubs, acquire RHP Taillon in separate transaction

The Blue Jays have reportedly dealt fan-favourite Kevin Gausman to the Chicago Cubs for OF Brett Bateman and INF Ty Southisene. Gausman spent five seasons with the Jays, posting an ERA of 3.62. The Blue Jays also acquired Canadian right-hander Jameson Taillon and cash from the Cubs in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations in a separate transaction, it was announced Sunday afternoon.

Report: Dodgers finalize trade to acquire Skubal from Tigers

The Dodgers have acquired two-time American League Cy Young Award winner Tarik Skubal from the Tigers, sources told ESPN's Jeff Passan. In return, Los Angeles is sending outfielder Zyhir Hope, right-hander River Ryan and right-hander Brady Smith to Detroit, sources told ESPN.
