San Francisco lost wide receiver Mike Evans to a rib injury in the first half, but still managed to hold on to start 3-0 for the third time in the last four seasons.

Spencer Shrader fought through a groin injury to make four field goals, including a 43-yarder with 16 seconds to go, and the Indianapolis Colts' beleaguered defense barely held up long enough to close out a 19-17 victory over the Houston Texans on Sunday.

Myles Price returned a punt 86 yards for a score, Kyler Murray threw a 41-yard TD pass to Jordan Addison and the Vikings beat the Buccaneers. Baker Mayfield hurt his thumb on a desperation pass late in the fourth quarter. He was screaming in pain on the ground before walking off and was replaced by rookie Jalon Daniels in the final minute.
NFL: Chiefs 24, Dolphins 10
Kenneth Walker III had a touchdown catch and rushed for a score, Patrick Mahomes threw for 246 yards and two TDs, and the Chiefs beat the Dolphins. Pro Bowler De'Von Achane left with a knee injury on the opening drive.
NFL: Raiders 35, Saints 27
Kirk Cousins had three passing touchdowns, one of which was to Brock Bowers, who made his season debut after missing the first two games with a knee injury, as the Raiders won a wild game against the Saints in Week 3.
NFL: Patriots 6, Jaguars 35
Trevor Lawrence threw three touchdown passes, including one on which Parker Washington made a fingertip catch in the end zone, and the Jaguars bounced back from their worst offensive performance in nearly a year to dominate the Patriots. Drake Maye fumbled twice, losing one, and threw two more interceptions before getting pulled in the fourth quarter with the game out of reach.
NFL: Chargers 16, Bills 24
Josh Allen scored two touchdowns rushing and the Bills overcame a five-turnover outing to pull out a victory over the winless Chargers. Buffalo improved to 3-0 despite Allen's two interceptions and lost fumble.
