Wolves 'may have cracked' Akhtyamov but Marlies keep faith in 'best goalie in the playoffs'

But John Gruden shrugged off that comment while confirming Akhtyamov will start again Friday. "He has been the best goalie in the playoffs," the Marlies coach said. Babcock cleared in NHL investigation as Oilers close in on coach

Mike Babcock has been cleared to coach again in the NHL. “The League has completed its review of Mike Babcock’s tenure in Columbus, and of certain alleged conduct associated therewith. Our investigation has concluded that, even in a light least favorable to Mr. Babcock, there is no current basis to restrict his employment in the League,” the NHL said in a statement released Thursday afternoon.
