Tkachuk had 22 goals and 59 points in 60 games with the Senators last season. He did not record a point in four playoff games as the Senators were eliminated in the first round.
Jason Dickinson is staying put in Edmonton. The forward and the Oilers reached a five-year, $20 million extension that carries a cap hit of $4 million and takes a pending unrestricted free agent off the board.
