The Leafs drafted defenceman Mans Gudmundsson from Färjestad in the third round. "I screamed," he told TSN. "Amazing feeling in my body." The 18-year-old, who models his game on Moritz Seider, received a call from countryman Mats Sundin welcoming him to the Leafs organization.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have traded defenceman Brandon Carlo to the St. Louis Blues in exchange for two third-round picks (No. 73 and 76) in the 2026 NHL Draft. Carlo was acquired by the Leafs from the Boston Bruins in exchange for forward Fraser Minten, a first and a fourth-round draft pick in March of 2025.
