Burakovsky set to make Senators debut tonight vs. Predators

After missing the first four games of the season, André Burakovsky is set to make his Senators debut tonight when Ottawa hosts the Predators. Head coach Travis Green spoke about what Burakovsky brings to the Sens, who are trying to make it four wins in five games to open the season.

Boone Jenner's goal in the second period proved to be the winner as the Washington Capitals beat the Rangers 3-1 on Friday night after New York goaltender Igor Shesterkin had to be helped from the ice after being injured.


NHL: Penguins 2, Blue Jackets 3 (SO)

Kent Johnson scored the only goal in a shootout to lift the Columbus Blue Jackets over the Pittsburgh Penguins 3-2 on Friday night. Damon Severson had a goal and an assist for Columbus. Mathieu Olivier also scored, and Cole Sillinger added two assists.

Panthers F Marchand out six weeks, putting him on similar timeline to Barkov

Panthers veteran Brad Marchand is expected to miss six weeks with a lower-body injury he sustained earlier this week, head coach Paul Maurice announced Friday.
