Connor Bedard has signed a five-year contract extension with the Blackhawks worth $15 million per season, making him the third highest paid player in the league. Bedard scored 30 goals and finished with 75 points last season, but will miss the start of next year after undergoing shoulder surgery earlier this month.


Blues sign McMichael to six-year, $40.5 million contract

The Blues have signed forward Connor McMichael to a six-year contract with a cap hit of $6.75 million. The 25-year-old former first-round pick was acquired from the Capitals in the trade for Jordan Kyrou back in late June.


Canadiens re-sign RFA Dach to one-year, $3.6 million deal

The Canadiens have signed restricted free agent forward Kirby Dach to a one-year, $3.6 million contract to avoid arbitration. Dach recorded eight goals and 15 points in 37 games with Montreal last season and missed 31 with a fractured foot.

NHL announces home openers for 2026-27 season

The NHL announced the home openers for all 32 teams on Wednesday as part of its reveal of the new 84-game schedule of 2026-27.
