Sens Ice Chips: Tkachuk back at practice, good to go for playoffs

The field is set for the Stanley Cup playoffs but the Senators still wait to find out their first-round opponent, which will be either the Sabres or the Hurricanes. Brady Tkachuk's health was the main concern for Ottawa but the Sens captain was back at practice on Tuesday looking like his normal self. TSN's Claire Hanna has more.


Home ice advantage still in play for Habs heading into regular season finale vs. Flyers

A first-round NHL playoff matchup between the Canadiens and the Lightning is officially set after the Sabres clinched first place in the Atlantic Division on Monday. 'Extreme pride': Tavares tunes out tank talk as iron man season comes to a close

John Tavares was asked about some fans wanting the team to lose down the stretch to improve their draft position. "There should be an extreme amount of pride to play in this league, to play this game and to wear the crest that we’re wearing," the centre said. "I try to approach each game the same." Tavares is the only player to suit up in every game for the Leafs this season.


NHL: Kings 5, Kraken 3

Quinton Byfield scored twice, Adrian Kempe netted the winner and the Kings survived a third period surge by the Kraken to lock up the last playoff spot up for grabs in the West. Los Angeles won five games in a row to take the final wild card spot, and eliminate the Predators, Sharks and Jets from playoff contention.


NHL: Sharks 3, Predators 2

Macklin Celebrini scored twice and Igor Chernyshov had a goal and an assist to lead the Sharks to a win over the Predators. San Jose won for the first time in 16 games against Nashville dating to Dec. 10, 2019, before both teams were eliminated from playoff contention when the Kings beat the Kraken later Monday night.
