Blue Jackets, Greaves reach three-year, $15M deal just before arbitration hearing
The Blue Jackets signed restricted free agent Jet Greaves to a three-year, $15 million contract just before their arbitration hearing on Thursday morning. General manager Don Waddell confirmed to The Athletic on Tuesday that the Blue Jackets filed for a $2.8 million salary, while Greaves countered at $7.5 million. The new $5 million average annual value falls almost exactly in the middle of the two briefs.
