After Artemi Panarin and Gabriel Landeskog traded goals late in regulation, Nicolas Roy was the hero in overtime as the Avalanche outlasted the Kings to take a two-game lead to Los Angeles. Scott Wedgewood made 24 saves, which included stopping a Quinton Byfield penalty shot in the second period. COL leads series 2-0.


NHL: Mammoth 3, Golden Knights 2

Logan Cooley scored the go-ahead goal with six minutes remaining to help the Mammoth bounce right back in the series with a win over the Golden Knights. MacKenzie Weegar and Dylan Guenther both scored their first goals of the playoffs for Utah, which heads home to host its first-ever playoff game. Series tied 1-1.


NHL: Canadiens 2, Lightning 3 (OT)

J.J. Moser was the hero in overtime as the Lightning struck back to even up the series as it shifts to Montreal. Nikita Kucherov netted his first goal of the playoffs and Brandon Hagel had a Gordie Howe hat trick for Tampa Bay, which had been 0-7 in its previous seven overtime games in the playoffs. Series tied 1-1.


Any concerns about the lack of even-strength production from Montreal's top line?

The Canadiens' top line has done damage on the power play but have struggled to find the scoresheet at even strength against the Lightning. Viktor Arvidsson scored twice, Morgan Geekie and Pavel Zacha also found the back of the net and the Bruins held off another late push from the Sabres to tie up their first-round series. David Pastrnak, Casey Mittelstadt and Jonathan Aspirot all had a pair of assists for Boston in the victory. Series tied 1-1.

Viktor Arvidsson opened the scoring early in the first period and then struck again 16 seconds into the third to help the Bruins even up their series with the Sabres and earn Ultimate Performer Powered by Stihl honours.


Dreger: Canucks 'pedal to the metal' in GM search; will interview Kevyn Adams

The Canucks fired general manager Patrik Allvin following a last-place finish this season and, as TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger explains, the team is 'pedal to the metal' in the search for his replacement.
