Camryn Rogers is Canada's first ever Olympic medalist in women's hammer throw

In 2024 Camryn Rogers became Canada's first Olympic medalist in women's hammer throw winning gold at the Paris Games with a throw of 76.97 meters. Maltais, Dubois carry Canada's flag as Milano Cortina 2026 comes to a close

Valerie Maltais and Steven Dubois both won multiple medals at Milano Cortina 2026, including a gold medal each, and carried Canada's flag at the closing ceremony as the Winter Olympic Games in Italy came to an end. Canada captured 21 medals at Milano Cortina 2026; five gold, seven silver and nine bronze.

Jack Hughes scored the golden goal 1:41 into 3-on-3 overtime as the United States defeated Canada in overtime to claim Olympic gold at Milano Cortina 2026. Canada's men's short track relay team, Steven Dubois, William Dandjinou, Felix Roussel and Maxime Laounwhich, who arrived at Milano Cortina 2026 to defend their 5,000m title, finished last of four teams. The Netherlands won gold for the first time in the event in six minutes 51.847 seconds.


Canada's Mackay earns bronze medal in freeski halfpipe

Brendan Mackay earned a bronze medal for Canada in men’s freestyle ski halfpipe at Milano Cortina. Alex Ferreira of the United States won gold with a score of 93.75, Estonia’s Henry Sildaru earned a silver medal with a score of 93.00, while Mackay’s 91.00 earned a bronze.


Canada's Maltais earns 1,500m bronze for third medal at Milano Cortina 2026

Canadian speedskater Valérie Maltais has won an Olympic bronze medal in the women’s 1,500 metres. Maltais claimed her third long track medal of The Winter Olympic Games after a bronze in the 3,000 metres, and gold with teammates Ivanie Blondin and Isabelle Weidemann in women’s team pursuit.
