Wisconsin defender Caroline Harvey was selected by the Vancouver Goldeneyes with the first pick in the PWHL draft on Wednesday in the latest major milestone achievement for the U.S. gold medal-winner and three-time college champion.


Sceptres select F Kirsten Simms eighth overall in 2026 PWHL Draft

The Toronto Sceptres selected Wisconsin forward Kirsten Simms with the eighth overall pick in the 2026 PWHL Draft. Simms put up 26 goals and 33 assists in 31 games with the Badgers in 2025-26, and became the fourth player selected from the defending national champions on Wednesday.


Janecke, Edwards and Eden make it an all-American Top 5 in PWHL Draft

Vegas had the third and fifth overall picks in the 2026 PWHL Draft and selected Team USA forwards Tessa Janecke and Lacey Eden. Sandwiched between them was San Jose's selection of Laila Edwards with the fourth overall pick, making it an all-American Top 5 in the 2026 PWHL Draft.

Sceptres hire Rhéaume as team’s next head coach

Pascal Rhéaume has been named the new head coach of the PWHL’s Toronto Sceptres. The 52-year-old native of Quebec City played 318 games in the NHL and most recently served as an assistant coach with the American Hockey League’s Bridgeport Islanders. After being introduced, Rhéaume spoke about the importance of a fun atmosphere off of the ice.
