Prince Owusu scored on a penalty kick and added three assists to spark CF Montreal to a victory over the Red Bulls, giving Montreal the season series sweep.

Emmanuel Sabbi had a goal and an assists, 21-year-old Bruno Caicedo scored his first goal in MLS, and the Vancouver Whitecaps beat Sporting Kansas City 3-0 on Friday night to continue the best start to a season in club history.

Arsenal reached the Champions League semi-finals after fighting out a cagey goalless draw with Sporting. The Gunners came into the game with a 1-0 lead from the first leg thanks to Kai Havertz's late goal in Portugal last week and that strike was enough to them take their place in the last four of the competition.

Atlético Madrid held on after an early charge by Barcelona to reach the Champions League semifinals for the first time in nearly a decade with a 3-2 win on aggregate. Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres scored inside the first 24 minutes for the Catalan club but Atlético struck back with a 31st minute goal by Ademola Lookman.

Ousmane Dembélé scored two late goals as Paris Saint-Germain extinguished Liverpool's hopes of a comeback to march into the Champions League semifinals 4-0 on aggregate. It is now five straight wins for PSG over English clubs in Champions League knockout ties.
