Nikayla Small and Kaylee Hunter scored first-half goals 12 minutes apart to lift AFC Toronto to an away victory over the Halifax Tides on Sunday.


MLS: Whitecaps 5, FC Dallas 0

Emmanuel Sabbi opened the scoring in the 11th minute for the Whitecaps in this one and they just didn't stop. Brian White netted a brace, Edier Ocampo and Brunco Caicedo each had one of their own and Vancouver dominated Dallas.


MLS: CF Montreal 2, LA Galaxy 2

Daniel Rios opened the scoring in the 16th minute for CF Montreal, and Prince Owusu scored a career-high tying 13th of the season to tie it late in a 2-2 tie with the LA Galaxy on Saturday night.


MLS: Inter Miami 1, Toronto FC 2

Josh Sargent and Derrick Etienne Jr. scored second-half goals three minutes apart and Toronto FC held on for a 2-1 victory over Inter Miami on Saturday night.


EPL: Hull City 2, Manchester United 0

Manchester United made a nightmare start to the new season as promoted Hull confounded their many doubters by securing a shock 2-0 victory on their Premier League return. Semi Ajayi opened the scoring after United failed to deal with a corner and Michael Carrick's men were again found wanting when Regan Slater sent in a free-kick for debutant Nobel Mendy to nod home.


EPL: Arsenal 3, Coventry 0

Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz gave the reigning champions a two goal lead going into the half and Martin Odegaard extended their lead in the 49th minute as Arsenal open the new campaign in dominant fashion.
