'That would be awesome': Marsch would welcome a combined Nations League with UEFA

With all the uncertainty surrounding FIFA recently, there were some reports that CONCACAF and UEFA were in discussions to create a combined Nations League competition that could begin as soon as the fall of 2028. Jesse Marsch was asked what that would do for the Canadian men's program and touched on the team's upcoming friendlies against Chile, Peru and the United States.


Marsch on 'hard discussions' with Larin, LaLiga being a good fit for Jonathan David

Cyle Larin has been on fire for Southampton in the English Championship where he leads the league in scoring while Jonathan David celebrated his first goal for his new club in LaLiga this past weekend. Canadian men's national team head coach Jesse Marsch spoke about 'hard discussions' he had with Larin following the World Cup, his belief that David will fit in well with Atletico Madrid in Spain and Promise David's move to the Premier League.


MLS: Inter Miami 2, Nashville SC 2

Lionel Messi scored his MLS-leading 19th goal of the season as Inter Miami played first-place Nashville to a draw on Saturday night. The draw kept Nashville nine points ahead of second-place Miami in the Eastern Conference standings.

Larin scores twice in Southampton's win; Millar has two assists vs. Derby County

Canadian Cyle Larin continued his red-hot start to the English championship season, netting a pair of goals against Bristol City on Saturday. Taegan Stewart scored the lone goal and Sarah Keilty-Dilling made a huge save as the Calgary Wild secured a victory over the Halifax Tides in NSL action on Saturday.


FIFA U20 Women's World Cup: Tanzania 0, Canada 6

Annabelle Chukwu scored twice, Olivia Chisholm, Kaylee Hunter and Liana Tarasco also found the net, and Canada kept its FIFA Women’s Under-20 World Cup hopes alive with a win over Tanzania in its final Group B match. Canada must wait for the remaining group-stage matches this weekend to learn whether it advances to the Round of 16.


NSL: Montreal Roses 2, AFC Toronto 2

Hailey Whitaker struck first 18 minutes in and Amandine Pierre-Louis looked to have scored the dagger late for Montreal, but goals six minutes apart from Lauren Rowe and Nikayla Small salvaged a dramatic draw for AFC Toronto at Stade Boréale on Thursday.


Canada’s national team is back in action in loaded fall soccer lineup on TSN

Following a historic performance at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the Canadian men’s national team is back in action for three international friendlies as part of a loaded soccer slate later this fall on TSN. Canada is set to return to home soil for matches against Chile in Toronto on Sept. 26 and Peru in Montreal on Oct. 3, before heading south of the border for a highly anticipated matchup against the United States in Minnesota on Oct. 6.
