Scianitti: No better dress rehearsal for World Cup in Toronto than Messi's arrival

The FIFA World Cup is just over a month away but the star attraction this weekend will be Lionel Messi, who leads his Inter Miami to BMO Field which is expected to be packed with up to 45,000 fans. TSN's Matthew Scianitti has more on how there is plenty at stake this weekend for the two MLS clubs and the city of Toronto.


Canada's Larin joins Southampton on permanent transfer

Southampton announced that the loan from Mallorca has been converted into a permanent transfer for Cyle Larin. The Canadian forward made 16 Championship appearances for Saints after his January move and scored eight times. OneSoccer's Kristian Jack joins TSN's Matthew Scianitti and Kevin Kilbane with more on this move.


International Friendly: Colombia 3, Costa Rica 1

Colombia got first half goals from Davinson Sánchez and Luis Díaz to beat Costa Rica in International Friendly action on Monday. Luis Suárez scored late in the second half to secure the win.


International Friendly: Norway 3, Sweden 1

Jørgen Strand Larsen notched a first-half brace and Antonio Nusa also scored as Norway warmed up for the FIFA World Cup with an international friendly win over Sweden on Monday.


NSL: Montreal Roses 2, Vancouver Rise 3

Jessica De Filippo scored in the 86th minute to lift the visiting Vancouver Rise to a Northern Super League victory over the Montreal Roses on Saturday.


NSL: Halifax Tides 1, Ottawa Rapid 2

Delaney Baie Pridham missed a penalty late in the first half, but redeemed herself by scoring with one minute left in the second half to lift the visiting Ottawa Rapid to a Northern Super League victory over the Halifax Tides.


International Friendly: Qatar 0, Republic of Ireland 1

The Republic of Ireland's friendly win over Qatar in Dublin was twice briefly disrupted by fans protesting against the home side's upcoming fixtures with Israel. After Republic of Ireland captain Nathan Collins headed the game's only goal, tennis balls featuring the Palestine flag were thrown on to the Aviva Stadium pitch around the 10-minute mark.
