Fils fends off Tiafoe in Cincinnati to capture first career Masters 1000 title

22-year-old Frenchman Arthur Fils beat American Frances Tiafoe in the Cincinnati Open final on Sunday to claim the biggest title of his career. Fils converted four of eight break points he earned and dominated the third set en route to a 6-3, 1-6, 6-0 victory that secured the rising star his first ATP Masters 1000 crown.


Sinner withdraws from US Open due to knee injury

Former Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios revealed on Wednesday he tested positive for cocaine, and cited the doping case as a wake up call after feeling “helpless and alone” as injuries derailed his career. The 31-year-old Australian tested positive in June for the party drug during a lower-tier grass court event in Spain.
